Objective: Helping the homeless Pot Bellied Pig, the needy pig, the adused or neglected pig, the pig that has run out of luck... Experience I moved to Rome in June, 2000. With this move came the adoption of my "new" Sally. I had to give up my first Sally due to zoining laws. Hiding a pig in the city is a hard thing to do.
Shortly after my move, I became involved with the Pot Bellied Pig even more so. And soon I was heading to Illinois to pick up Hamlet. He could no longer stay with his pig parents due to a cross country move. He is originaly from AZ. His gramma lived in IL and that is where we all met. Soon I was getting e-mails and phone calls from all over with people either wanting to give me their pet pig, or looking to adopt. This all from posting a message on a message board that I could take in Hamlet.
And so my journey begins. I have helped several needy pigs over the summer and fall of 2000. My biggest so far was a herd of 5 I took in from Colorado. Do to uncontrolable cercomstances they could no longer stay with their pig parents. |
